Iphone 5 reloaded...

The fact that I frequently display my iPhone 5 to you, whenever I am displaying tweaks, themes, or anything else iOS related. I often get asked what specific app I use for what, which apps are my favourite and a wide spectrum of questions relating to this sort of thing. Instead of answering all of these individually, I thought I would correlate which apps I use with a video, so here is it! What’s on my iPhone 5? Check out the video below to find out:

This was just an overview of the main applications that I use on my device. Of course, my iPhone 5 is jailbroken, so if you’d like to see ‘What’s on my iPhone 5′ jailbreak edition, I’ll be sure to produce that for you in the near future.
I’m curious to know, what applications do you use on a daily basis? Are there any in my selection that are also in yours? Let me know in the comments below.

Redsn0w 0.9.10b7 Released; Includes Corona A5 Jailbreak For iPhone 4S, iPad 2 on iOS 5.0.1 & More

As we eagerly wait for pod2g to release the untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.1, the iPhone Dev team has quietly updated Redsn0w, which includes a number of new features including the Corona A5 untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4S and iPad 2 still running iOS 5.0.1.
Redsn0w 0.9.10b7 includes the following new features:
  • Corona A5 untethered jailbreak for iPhone4S and iPad 2 still running 5.0.1
  •  It can also re-install that jailbreak for those who accidentally uninstalled the untether.
  • When stitching an IPSW, it can now grab your blobs directly from Cydia.
  • It now shows a lot more info about your device (for instance, whether your iPhone3G has the vulnerable baseband boot loader, or whether your iPhone3GS has the old exploitable bootrom.
Dev team has also revealed that they plan to add  built-in restore support in Redsn0w, to provide an alternative to iTunes restores, which will be a killer feature as it should be able to avoid those annoying errors when you try to restore using custom iOS firmware files using iTunes.
Redsn0w 0.9.10b7 can only perform a tethered jailbreak for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS (expect iPhone 3GS with old bootrom), iPad 1 and 3rd-generation iPod touch on iOS 5.1, which means that you need to connect your iOS device to the computer on every reboot. So if you've jailbroken your iOS device running on iOS 5.0.1, you are better off avoiding the iOS 5.1 software update, which doesn't include any major feature.
if you've accidentally updated your iOS device to iOS 5.1 then you can use Redsn0w 0.9.10b7. You can download Redsn0w 0.9.10b7 using this link for Mac and Redsn0w 0.9.10b7 using this link for Windows.

i0n1c Posts Pictures Of A Jailbroken iPad 2 On iOS 5.1, Untethered Jailbreak Coming Soon?

The iPad 2 runs on an A5 processor, the same as the iPhone 4S and so far there hasn’t been any jailbreak for iOS 5.1 on both of these devices. However, it looks like, hacker @i0n1c may have an answer to this. He was the sole person behind the iOS 4.3.x untethered jailbreak and he just posted pictures of an iPad 2 running iOS 5.1 and jailbroken.
iOS 5.1 was released by Apple during the launch of the new iPad and even though it doesn’t bring a lot of new features, it is an important update. If you’re on the same firmware and are waiting for anuntethered jailbreak, then i0n1c may perhaps deliver one. Recently we told you that pod2g, the hacker behind the iOS 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak, is also working on an untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.1. Now i0n1c has apparently found an exploit for the jailbreak, although we don’t know if it’suntethered. The Cydia version is also new, it shows Cydia 1.1.5!
That’s all there is to this small yet big update. i0n1c hasn’t given any other details other than the pictures, so only time will tell the rest of the story. We will keep you updated with more information when it arises. Anybody waiting for the iOS 5.1 untethered jailbreak?

iOS 5.1 Untethered jailbreak ETA, Update

iOS 5.1 Untethered jailbreak ETA, Update

After iOS 5.0.1 got untethered, Apple released iOS 5.1 and patched the exploit found in iOS 5.0.1. Since the release of IOS 5.1, jailbreakers have been searching the web for its untethered jailbreak.

In recent tweets of Pod2G, he tells the world that he has found much vulnerability in iOS 5.1 and is actively working to untether it. Many hurdles have been overcome but still a lot of work remains before releasing it for the public.
News: We have all exploits required to do a new jailbreak, I’m working on bypassing ASLR at bootup.
Still there is no ETA about the untethered jailbreak for 5.1 but jailbreaking communities are working on it which means that we will surely have untethered jailbreak for 5.1 sooner or later.
Currently, tethered jailbreak for iOS 5.1 is available using redsn0w or sn0wbreeze.
